A girl can't have too much lipstick.. or tints, agree? There's always room for more. Haha! I got this COVERNINE Magnefit Tints last January and I will give my honest review about them today.  Long overdue, I know. Haha! By the way, these tints are from South Korea.

So what are these tints?

A long-lasting matte tint not erased easily as it is contacted perfectly on the lips lightly in clear and enriched color like a magnet without being stained.

These tints can be purchased as a set of 5 and come with a black plastic pouch. Each tint is a mini with 2.3g of product. Having a pouch with all of the shades that you need is very effective and functional. It has a regular doe foot applicator.

When I was doing my product shoot, I decided to include the shades at the bottom of the product. Salmon Coral was the same with the shade when I applied it. It looks neon on the product so I was overwhelmed by it. Thankfully, it becomes a nude coral shade when it tries. Prism Pink looks very light when applied too but tones down upon drying. The rest of the tints are almost the same as the product shade.


Since I have dark lips and neutral skin tone, I have mixed thoughts about these tints. By the way, these are not water tints so they may be a bit heavy on the lips. These are also matte but doesn't really dry your lips. I will talk about what I didn't like first. I didn't like Salmon Coral and Prism Pink but this is just my personal preference. They don't compliment my skin tone and my dark lips. It looks very light on me. Good thing Salmon Coral toned down and became a nude color on my lips. I think it will go well with people who have lighter skin. I also have issues on the formula. It may look fine on the photos but in real life, it looks patchy on my lips. The other three are pigmented and glides on easily on my lips.

Russett Red and Dizzy Red are my favorites among five. They are my usual colors. Pink Peacock is just an 'okay' shade for me. Not that I hate it but I didn't like it that much neither. These three are in deep shades so they are more pigmented than the first two shades. I also think that they will last longer. I had a hard time removing them when I was doing the swatches. It really stained on the lips especially Dizzy Red.

Koreans are known for their subtle makeup especially on the eye area. They use nude and neutral colors most of the time to have that natural and glowy look. Chica Y Chico is a famous brand in Korea. They are known for these One Shot Eye Palette and I will be reviewing it for you. I got mine in Day Drink.


All of the shades in this palette are in neutral colors. There are 3 mattes (Malibu, Kahlua, Vodka Espresso), 1 shimmer (Cognac) and 2 glittery (Bacardi, Champagne) shades. It makes the whole palette just perfect for an everyday look to a simple night out look. The palette is also a perfect staple in your go-to makeup kit since it is small and lightweight. Each pan is in decent size though, so no worries, you still get enough product.

I was surprised that this palette is so pigmented especially the glittery shades. Malibu doesn't show because it is close to my skin tone. The chunks of glitters may be a little too overwhelming to others but for me, it is just perfect. I love this kind of eyeshadows. Vodka Espresso is buildable. I feel like it is more of a coffee black and not straight black. I used this palette as soon as I laid my hands on it and it looks really good on the lids.

Just a tip: The glittery shades can be a little messy. You should put a good base or concealer first so it will make the pigments stick.

I was invited last May 25, 2019, for an event by WWF Philippines. It is all about Savour Planet: No Place For Waste which is part of their The Sustainable Diner: A Key Ingredient for Sustainable Tourism campaign. It was held at View Park Hotel, Tagaytay and they talked about the things we could do help lessen food wastes.

WWF is one of the world’s largest and most respected independent conservation organizations, with over 5 million supporters and a global network active in over 100 countries. WWF's mission is to stop the degradation of the Earth's natural environment and to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature, by conserving the world's biological diversity, ensuring that the use of renewable natural resources is sustainable, and promoting the reduction of pollution and wasteful consumption.

The venue was just a few minutes away from home. The event started at around 10 o'clock in the morning and it was catered by Siglo Modern Filipino, one of the project’s partner restaurants.

We may think that leftovers are our food wastes but little did we know that we already acquire them in preparing our foods. We often classify and separate ingredients. We choose the ones who look perfect and set aside the ones we call ugly produce (misshapen, undersized, discolored, bruised, or those with unusual spots or marks). I was actually guilty. Haha! I know you are too, right? Ms. Melody emphasized that the ugly produce may be different on the outside but they contain the same nutrients and might be even better. Parang sa tao lang, wag tayong judgemental. Haha!

Mr. Jomar Fleras talked about the importance of food banks and how it helps in preventing excess food go to waste. I was never aware of food banks, to be honest, and I am really glad that we already have it here in the Philippines. Aside from preventing excess foods go to waste, they also help in alleviating hunger. There are a lot of excess foods (foods that are about to expire within six months, foods that did not meet their quality standards but still can be eaten, etc) from factories and companies and it's really nice to hear that some companies donate them to food banks.

We also had a workshop on Bokashi Composting which was led by Ms. Rina Papio. It was my first time to hear about this. Bokashi Composting originated in Japan and it actually makes the regular composting period shorter. Bokashi gran is used in this method. We can do it in our own little homes. The Savour Planet workshop series aims to empower and educate Filipino diners, partners from the media, the academe, as well as fellow non-government organizations and food security projects on the importance of sustainable food systems and sustainable dining. The objective of this year’s theme is to equip Filipino diners with knowledge and practical approaches on how they can prevent, manage, and divert the food waste they have at home.

Paradise Dynasty is known for their Xiao Long Bao especially the colorful ones which are in different flavors by the way. I've seen it all over Instagram and I finally got to try it last May. They have branches in The Podium, S Maison, and SM Aura.

Yes, southies. I traveled from Tagaytay to SM Aura for this. Haha! For the love of Xiao Long Bago. Haha! And no regrets, this is so worth. It is really good that it made me speechless. Haha!

I was surprised by the taste of their Radish Pastry. It looks like an ordinary pastry on the inside, but when you taste it, it bursts and melts in your mouth. It was mind-blowing for me. Haha! This is definitely the taste that I love.

Now I know why it has a high rating on Zomato and why it is recommended by a lot of foodies. All of their foods are scrumptious. It may be pricey to others, but trust me, this is so worth it. Paradise Dynasty is not your typical Chinese restaurant. I definitely recommend them! :)

When I hear El Nido, I always thought that it will be luxurious and extravagant like Boracay. I've seen it in magazines and it is also famous among foreign people. El Nido is known for its white-sand beaches, towering limestone cliffs, scenic mountains, enchanting lagoons, and rich coral garden.

When my Tito asked me to book for Puerto Princesa, the Underground River was the first that came into my mind. I've always wanted to go here because the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999, and voted as a New7Wonders of Nature in 2012. It was all over the news, magazines, and books when I was still a kid and coming here is like a dream come true to me. 

My Tito's sister lives in Puerto Princesa so our accommodation was not a problem. I've researched for quite some time about the local agency tours and DIY tours but I was not really able to find an updated guide for a DIY tour. So we took the risk, thinking it might be cheaper since Tita Edith has cars that we can use as our transpo.

First, we went to the City Coliseum to get a permit at the PPUR Booking Office. THIS IS A MUST. For walk-ins, you need to be there personally and you will need to bring one valid ID. We waited for a few minutes to get our clearance. We paid 5,600 pesos for 9 persons (4 senior citizens). I'm really not sure about the breakdown but I've read that the entrance is 500 pesos while the environmental fee is 150 pesos.

Travel time from the City Coliseum to Sabang Boat Terminal is 1 hour and 30 minutes. I didn't expect that it would be that far. Haha! We arrived there past 10am.

So this is the Sabang Boat Terminal. It is where you book for a boat that will take you to the Underground River. The maximum capacity of one boat is 8 persons. We were 9 and they are strict with their rules so we booked two boats for 2,200 pesos. That would be 1,100 per boat / 244.44 per person. 

Travel time from Sabang Boat Terminal to the Underground River is 10 to 15 minutes. We were glad that it is not that crowded when we got there. We didn't wait long enough. I've watched vlogs and read articles. Most of them say that the queue going to the Underground River is long. June is maybe the best time to go there and we went there on a weekday. 

I didn't take a lot of photos during this trip because I was scared that my camera might get wet. Haha! There are droplets of water from the cave and sometimes from the bat so it is better to be safe than sorry. Haha! My phone was in a waterproof case but it doesn't take good photos in dark places so meh. No photos. Haha! 

That cave behind us is the entrance. Life vests, protective hats, and audio device guide are given before the tour. 

Fun Fact:
In 2010, a group of environmentalists and geologists discovered that the underground river has a second floor, which means that there are small waterfalls inside the cave. They also found a cave dome measuring 300 m (980 ft) above the underground river, rock formations, large bats, a deep water hole in the river, more river channels, and another deep cave, as well as marine creatures and more. Deeper areas of the underground river are almost impossible to explore due to oxygen deprivation.

The whole Underground River tour is approximately 45 minutes. Their tour guides are very friendly and funny. It adds up why this experience is extraordinary. After our marvelous tour, we went back to Sabang Boat Terminal and looked for a restaurant for lunch. It was past 1pm when we went back and we were really hungry. Haha. We found one restaurant with a buffet lunch for 200 pesos per person. The food was just okay for me.

After our lunch, we walked around Sabang Beach and Sheridon. Btw, wear comfy clothes. Wear shorts and slippers.

Prices vary from tour agencies. Our DIY tour was definitely the cheapest. One factor is the transpo. It was a really great help. However, I do not advise you to commute via bus though. The buses have no fixed schedule for departure since they need to fill up all the seats first. You may check the vans if you want to commute. You may check this post for the rates and how to commute to Sabang. The cheapest tour that I could find is from Klook's Underground River Tour which is just for 1,570 per person pesos and it is already all in. Their tour is the closest as our DIY tour. Other travel agencies charge between 2,000 pesos to 2,500 pesos.

I am so happy to tick this off my bucket list. I also intend not to take photos inside so people will be curious and go there personally. I really recommend that you visit this place at least once in your life especially my fellow Filipino people. This is our pride and it is such a memorable experience. I am thankful to Papa God for creating such a historical place like this here especially that it is here in my country.
