How To Eat Healthy But Tasty Food

September 23, 2017

Eating healthy is beneficial to the body but of course, you have to sacrifice and cut the foods that are not good for your body. However, you don’t have to deprive yourself of eating the foods that you love. There are still some ways to eat healthily but still have a tasty and savory meal.

Avoid using salt. Too much salt and sodium intake can increase your blood pressure. When cooking, you may just use herbs, lemons, and other natural spices to add flavor to your food. It is natural and is much healthier for the body.

You don’t need to cut carbohydrates in order to be healthy. We actually need carbohydrates because they give us the energy that our body needs. You don’t need to cut them, but you could use alternatives that are much healthier for the body. For example, you can use brown rice as the alternative for white rice. Brown rice is whole grain rice and it is rich in proteins, thiamine, calcium, magnesium, fiber, and potassium.

Meat is still essential to the body because they give us the protein that we need. And to balance your diet, you may eat fish such as tuna, tilapia, and bangus as an alternative for the days that you do not like to eat meat. Seafood can give you more protein, minerals, and even omega-3 fatty acids ( a heart-healthy fat). You can also use tofu as a meat alternative. However, you have to be careful with the oil and fats from the meat because it is not good for the body. As a healthy alternative, you can use Air Fryers to get rid of those unwanted oils and fats when you are cooking meat and seafood. Air Fryers are beneficial to our health since it only uses up to 80% less oil. They require less oil and cooks the food by circulating super hot air inside. It actually replaces the conventional deep oil fryer and oven.

Add fruits and vegetables to your meal. You may also eat fruits or vegetables like potatoes for snacks instead of junk food or ice cream. Try to fill half of your plate with fruits and vegetables. Aside from it makes your plate colorful, it is definitely good for the health. You can get more vitamins and minerals.

Prepare your own meal. If you are going out to the gym or somewhere, you might want to bring your packed lunch or snacks instead of buying at a fast food chain or restaurant. You are the one in control if you prepare your own meal and at least you are sure that the meal you are eating is healthy. You can also save money. That's like hitting two birds with one stone! Hehe.

If you are on a diet, you don’t really have to eat “less” if that is what you are thinking. You just have to choose the right food to take and eat healthy plus exercise. Well, even if you are not on a diet, you should always be careful with the food that you eat because what you eat have big effects on your body.
