Weekend Staycation at Microtel by Wyndham South Forbes

My Mama and I had a staycation at Microtel by Wyndham South Forbes before 2019 ended. It is just less than an hour away from Tagaytay, but why not? Right? Hehe!

The hotel is a few minutes away from Solenad and Nuvali in Sta. Rosa, Laguna but it actually a part of Silang, Cavite.

I was amazed how it is peaceful here despite the traffic on the main road which is perfect for staycations plus the pool! We didn't get to swim though. It was cold in Tagaytay so I thought the weather there would be the same but it is actually warm there. Sayang! Hehe.

Tachibana Japanese Restaurant

They have a Japanese restaurant at the lower ground floor of the hotel. You'll easily see this because it just adjacent to the hotel entrance. We tried this for dinner. We ordered their Shoyu Ramen and it is good.

Queen Double Room

The hotel room is simple, clean and I didn't expect that it would be this spacious. This is perfect for families.

Breakfast Buffet

The breakfast buffet was not included in our reservation but we availed it just because Mama doesn't want to go out and walk to look for a nearby restaurant. There's a shuttle going to nearby areas like Paseo if you like to go out for breakfast. There's also a supermarket just across the street.

The breakfast buffet offers Filipino food, breads, and cereals. The food was okay. This is actually the Tachibana Japanese Restaurant. In the morning, it serves breakfast buffet to their guests. After that, it would go back to their usual Japanese menu.

Thoughts

I like it here but I just hope that there would be restaurants and cafe nearby soon. Their staff are very friendly and accommodating. They always greet us and smile. The room is impressive and perfect for staycation.
