THE PLACE & AMBIANCE
Monstera Cafe's location is in a rural area in Silang. And if you like places like this to unwind while catching up with family or friends, you can add this to your list.
It is actually hidden because the first thing you will see is their spacious parking area. Then you will see the entrance to the cafe. We actually went there on a weekday and it was raining. We are the only ones there until a family came. But it can be crowded during weekends and holidays.
We were surprised that their area is actually huge. Though the cafe is just a portion, it is also spacious, especially the outdoor dining. They can still expand if they want to in the future. They also have their garden area at the side/back of the cafe where you can buy more of their plants.

You can see the menu at their counter. I think it is self-service. You order at the counter. They also serve specialty coffee like Siphon.
We stayed here in their covered dining but still al fresco. Glad they have this for rainy days. The cafe is actually simple but it is the plants that will get your attention and give the ambiance.
This is what the covered dining looks like as a whole. It's pretty spacious too and al fresco. I love their chandeliers here. It makes the place extra. I also like their tables. It looks good in the photos! Hehe.
It might be more fun if it was a sunny day. But since it was a rainy morning that day, it gave me a different vibe and I was surprised I actually like it. Especially seeing and hearing rain drops. Though we were not able to try the outdoor dining.

This cafe serves not just coffee and non-coffee beverages but also a selection of food for you to enjoy with your friends and family.
☕️ Hot Caramel Macchiato & Hot Cafe Latte
I was surprised it is a huge serving. The latte art is also nice. Medyo nakakahinayang inumin! Hehe. These two hot coffees are perfect for the rainy weather. I liked the Cafe Latte more because the coffee is more strong.
Monstera Burger & 🍝 Monstera Meaty Bolognese
I am not a fan of burgers but I surprisingly liked their Monstera Burger. It comes with fries as a side dish. The Monstera Meaty Bolognese is just okay for me.
🧡 Spicy Salted Egg Chicken (must try!) & 🥩 Beef Tapang Taal
They also offer rice meals and I would recommend that you try their Spicy Salted Egg Chicken. They also said it is their best seller and I think now I know. Maybe you can request to customize it if you don't like it spicy.
☕️ Iced White Chocolate Mocha & White Chocolate Mocha Frappe (?)
Pardon me for being forgetful. I can't remember what these drinks are called. Haha! Both have different taste. I like sweet stuff and I get that taste from the frappe. It's good and I like it better than the iced coffee one.
☕️ Specialty Coffee (Siphon Method)
Not all cafe offers specialty coffee, but they have it here in Monstera Cafe and I was able to try the Siphon one. It's amazing to see how this kind of coffee is made.
THE VERDICT ⭐4/5
I had a great experience here at Monstera Cafe. Their staff was friendly and accommodating. It is a very nice place to chill and unwind for a while. Since we were the only ones there, I appreciate the peaceful ambiance away from the busy streets. It must also be nice here at night. I just wish they play slow music here when there's no live band or on their ordinary days. Their live band plays here on Wednesdays.
As for the food, my favorite is the Spicy Salted Egg Chicken and the Monstera Burger. For the drinks, I like the Hot Caramel Macchiato and the frappe one. The price is reasonable because of the huge serving. The other foods can still be improved but it's not that bad.
Going here via public transportation might be a little hassle but it will all be worth it. We used Waze/Google Map when we went here and I am also aware of the place so we didn't get lost along the way. It is indeed a hidden gem in Silang.
