Takao Studios Coffee: A Japanese Rooftop Cafe in Tagaytay

Takao Studios Coffee Tagaytay Review Rooftop Japanese Cafe

My friends and I were looking for a chill hangout place after Christmas. We found Takao Studios Coffee, a Japanese Rooftop Cafe. It also has a picturesque view of Taal Lake. It's a perfect place to hang out with friends as they serve coffee and liquor.

I'm actually looking forward to trying their ramen. Sadly, it was not available when we got there, and also most on the food menu. It's probably because of the holiday season which is understandable. Only Pan-Jamu was available and Chizu Bagaa (if I'm not mistaken? Haha).

THE PLACE

It is located on a rooftop and the vibe is Japanese minimalist. It's 100% al fresco dining but there are covered areas just in case it rains.

We went there in the afternoon and we stayed until 6pm. Tagaytay weather was so different these days. There was sunlight when we got there and I thought the weather is just perfect. But while waiting for my friends, it started to rain.

It was not crowded when we got there. It's almost just us. More people started to arrive late afternoon to night.

This is the view before it started raining. It's relaxing and also a nice place to work.

THE FOOD

☕️ Hot Burnt Butter Latte

This was recommended by Jen (@TheSocialMomdia) and she did not disappoint. It was good! Plus points for the latte art.

☕️ Hot Tsokolate

It's not on their menu yet but I saw it on their social media so we decided to try it. It's also good but the coffee was warmer.

☕️ Iced Burnt Butter Latte

This was Poleng (@WanderingBelleAme)'s order. It looks good. The way the coffee was poured is so satisfying! I better try this when I get back.

🥪 Pan-jamu

Pandesal with mango, strawberry, caramel, and matcha on top. We knew it was a very simple dish but it's surprisingly good. The pandesal is bite-size tho. The name was from Pandesal and Jam, am I right? Haha. It's cute!

VERDICT

✨ Love the Hot Burnt Butter Latte, as recommended by The Social Momdia! 🥰 Didn’t expect much from the Pan-jamu pero masarap din sya in fairness. The Matcha Jam was good! Sayang lang kasi what we want to try talaga yung ramen and other pastries but it is not available nung pumunta kami. At least we have another reason to go back? Haha. Will definitely try their ramen next time. It’s a cafe I can recommend, guys! 👍🏼 My friends and I had a great time. The wifi and mode of payment are plus points!
