Cabanas Dine and Bar: A Tagaytay Restaurant Overlooking Taal Lake

I think the perfect tambayan spot in Tagaytay especially if you're into chill and inuman nights. 🍻 Can you guess where it is? It's CABANAS DINE AND BAR! I've seen this on social media since last year but I was only able to try it last week with @yourtitaja and @tigasouthkaba

CABANAS DINE AND BAR

📍 Tagaytay-Nasugbu Rd, Silang Junction South, Tagaytay, Cavite (Across Ayala Mall Serin)

It is just across Ayala Mall Serin. They have a spacious parking area so it won't be a problem unless they are already full. If you're commuting, you have to walk a little to get here because there's a barrier and you can only use the overpass or the side near rotunda.

There are kubos near this area but it is not under Cabanas Dine and Bar. Their entrance is the photo above or you may ask the locals where it is.

Upon arrival, this is the view that you will see and it's one of the best. That day was a gloomy and it also rained a little bit earlier but still the view was spectacular.

Since we are in a pandemic, the seats and tables are limited. Social distancing is a must. Safety protocols should be followed at all times. Fill out contact tracing forms. No face mask and no face shield, no entry. Only 15 to 65 years old are allowed for dine in.

Their bar has this tropical vibes and it feels refreshing here to be honest especially with the great view. Beach bar feels! Haha. But in Tagaytay, of course!

THE FOOD

POTATO CHIPS (215 pesos)

This potato chips is sooo good! It has a hint of spice. Okay 'to as appetizer or maybe pulutan? Hehe.

HOUSE BLEND ICED TEA (130 pesos, right photo) and RIPE MANGO SHAKE (149 pesos, left photo)

They served us their specialty beverages. I got the House Blend Iced Tea and I like it!

STUFFED ROSEMARY CHICKEN with JAVA RICE (565 pesos)

This one is very tasty, well, probably because of the herbs and spices since it's Rosemary. The java rice goes well with the Rosemary Chicken.

CABANAS CHICKEN (269 pesos)

If you're not into Rosemary or you want something cheaper, you can get their Cabanas Chicken instead. It's also good.

1 KG LECHON BELLY ROLL (1,250 pesos)

One highlight of our late lunch is this lechon belly. Like girl, it's lechon belly. Duuhh? Haha! The meat is tender and the pig skin is crunchy.

BULALO (489 pesos)

Of course, a Tagaytay trip won't be complete without the Bulalo. Imagine having this while seeing the great view? Ahh! The best! I love the texture of their meat, btw! It's nice to have it in palayok.

Since it is a dine and bar, we also had to try their cocktails. On the left is Mojito (I think? Haha) and on the right is what I tried. I don't know what's called though. It's like a cola rum? We also had beer.

The view is also nice during night. I remember when I used to travel last year. I usually go out and find a place like this to have a few drinks and chill. I'm glad I found something like this in my own hometown. But I still miss traveling! Hehe.

PRICE RANGE

MID RANGE. Price range is about 500-1,000 pesos for 2 pax (lunch or dinner) and 300-500 pesos for 2-3 pax (inuman session).
