2017: A Year In Review

December 26, 2017

Before writing this post, I read my previous entry for 2016. I feel like a different person while I was reading it. I've been through a lot last year, especially with my career. And of course, many things have changed as the year passed by.

For the first few months of 2017, I focused on this blog and look where we are now fam. It was January when I moved to Blogger and I can't believe it's almost a year already. I got my first sponsored post in June and I got invited to different blogging events since then too. Then, I changed my domain last October. This December, I won as one of the Best Reviewers for Benton's My Dear Bestfriend Bar. I'm really thankful for all of my friends and readers for supporting me and this blog. I got to work with different brands and companies who I am also thankful for. I never thought it will grow fast.

Let's not forget the day that I met Camie Juan in October. That was the day that I also made new friends. I won't ever forget that happy day. On the other hand, I met Dorothy of dorothytorretijo.blogspot.com and Joyce of itsjoycesalvador.blogspot.com for the first time at the Llaollao event. I got to attend Blogapalooza this December as well. I met Patricia of patrciadenise.com there for the first time (We've been friends online for a year before we met. Haha!) while it is my second time to meet Mei of jojomei.com.

I started working as a freelance writer in September. I finally got to try to work at home and so far so good. I first worked as a writer but I switched to data entry after a month. I was overwhelmed with article writing. Haha! While I was reading my 2016 entry, all I can say that I was really problematic with my career that time. I ended 2016 without any work. Well, I am still confused about my career now but I don't want to pressure myself anymore. So currently, I am working as a virtual assistant. Working at home is not bad at all. I find it convenient, I control my working hours and the pay is much better from my previous jobs tbh.

My boyfriend and his family migrated to the US two weeks ago. It one of the reasons why I didn't find a job. I want my time to be flexible so we can have much time before he leaves and I can say working at home made it easier. All I can say is all the adjustments are worth it. I was with him and his family a week before he left. For the past six years, we are always together and we see each other very often which is the hard part. It is also our first time to celebrate Christmas and New Year away from each other. Literally miles away from each other. I am not used to long distance relationships. I never had one, but we will fight for this relationship and I will wait for him. Cheesy but true! We just kept quiet about this all along. I never posted anything online before he left.

Before 2017 ends, I got another plot twist. My grandma's sister, who I also call and consider as my second Lola, died last December 19. I am not sure if I already said this in my previous blog posts but I live with my relatives, my Mom's two sisters and her. She was an old maiden with no children. I grew up with her, even much longer than my Lola and Lolo. She was 96 years old when she died. She was bedridden for more than three years because of a fracture in her right thigh due to old age. She died peacefully and I hope she is happy with God now.

I can't say that 2017 is the best year for me but it is neither the worst. But just like 2016, I learned so much from it and it made me grow as an individual. I felt lost but I learned to have faith in myself. All the struggles helped me change for the better. Social media is super toxic nowadays and please know that I don't post everything online. Don't act like you know everything about me. So before the new year starts, we'll leave all the toxic relationships, hate, and negative vibes behind. I am thankful for all the opportunities and new friends that this year has brought me. No regrets! However, I won't have high hopes for 2018 anymore. I'll just lift everything to God and have faith in Him.

For more blog posts, new friends, random conversations and happy thoughts in 2018! Always remember that you are loved and God is always there for us. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, fam! May God bless us more! xx ♥

Dear My Best Friend Bar aka as the BF Bar is Benton's new healthy and naturally derived soap for both body and face. This soap is made with vegetable oil base and various botanical ingredients to cleanse and moisturize dry and sensitive skin. It mainly helps blemished skin with its cacao seed, oatmeal, papain and basil by removing dead skin cells and excessive serum.

Benton is a cosmetic brand based in Korea. Benton is inspired by and named after the movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. They aim to restore your skin back to its original and healthy condition with healthy recipes rather than to give temporary effects with harmful ingredients. They have physical branches in Sydney, Munich, and Spain. They are PETA Certified Cruelty-Free.

It also has Witch Hazel, Tea Tree, Propolis Extract, Shea Butter, Papain, etc.

I've been using this soap for three weeks now and I can really say that this helps soothe my skin. I have combination and sensitive skin. I also used it on my body to maximize the effect. Aside from soothing my skin, it also made my skin smooth and hydrated. For the packaging, it is sealed in a metallic foil packaging and comes with a box and a foaming net. The foaming net that comes along is very handy.  The soap bar has an aromatic (leafy) scent to it and it doesn't melt easily.

To show you how this soap instantly works, here is a photo of me before and after washing. Each photo has no filter. As you can see, it easily brightened up my face and my skin looks hydrated and refreshed af! It lessens the redness on my face. My current acne situation is at it's worst and this soap helps to calm my skin and easily dry up the acne. I've already tried other natural soap but this BF Bar is so far the best for me.

Pony Effect Deep & Pure Lip Tint Review

December 01, 2017

Ever since I started working at home, I became more enthusiastic about skincare products and makeup for natural looks. I just like to wear lip tint and powder whenever I go out on an ordinary day. My blogger friend, Patricia of patriciadenise.com, invited me to join a Facebook group for Korean makeup and skincare enthusiasts. It is the SaeliYuirMelissaLee's All About Korean Cosmetics and Skin Care

They have Nanay Angels from different locations here in the Philippines to help you get their products. They have on hand products. However, whenever there is a massive sale, you really have to be patient because it takes time for the products to be shipped here in the Philippines. I waited for a month for this babies, but it is so worth it!! I bought it from Ms. Chefron Bernardo, but she is not a nanay angel anymore.

They had a sale last October and I got to purchase these babies. It is the Pony Effect Deep and Pure Tints. I bought this for 330 pesos for two tints. What a steal, isn't it? The original price is 380 pesos each tint on the group. The original price at Korea is probably at 700 pesos each. But mind you, this is authentic. I recommend you to join the group to see it yourself.

For the packaging, it is in a plastic tube. It is sleek, very handy and lightweight. I love the packaging especially the gold details. The product details are all written on the box, not on the tint itself. It contains 8.5 grams.

It comes with a doe foot applicator which as well all know is very common. There is also a strong scent. To me, it smells like the medicine for kids. Haha! It doesn't smell when it is on the lips though.

The shade is written at the top of the box. It is not written on the tube but the color of the lightning logo corresponds to the shade. That is the only thing that I don't like about this product.

When I purchased this tints, I didn't get to choose which shade to get because it will be randomly chosen by them (on sale). I got the shade Graceful (top) and Joyful (bottom). Graceful is a red shade with blue undertone while Joyful is on a raspberry shade. Both shades that I got are really different from each other.

Here is a photo of all the swatches. For your future reference ;)

Review

I always bring this with me wherever I go, together with the Karadium Pucca and Peripera lip tints. It looks very natural on the lips. However, it is not that long lasting compared to the Karadium Pucca lip tint. It can stay for 3 to 4 hours on the lips. It has a matte finish and it is not transfer-proof. A little goes a long way. Despite the smell and not being transfer-proof, I still love this product. I definitely recommend this product to you.

To avail this product, join SaeliYuirMelissaLee's All About Korean Cosmetics and Skin Care.

Me wearing Joyful. I only put a little amount and I dabbed it on my lips

Matrix Cosmetics Lip & Cheek Tint Review

November 23, 2017

Matrix Cosmetics
Lip and Cheek Tint Review

Without any lip product, my lips is really pale af and I look sick that is why I always bring a tint or two with me whenever I go out. I also like wearing lip tints because it gives color to my lips but still look natural.

Matrix Cosmetics is a new local brand based in Batangas City, Philippines. They sent me two shades of their lip tints to try. Thank you so much for sending these, Matrix Cosmetics! ;) So today, I will be sharing my honest review, so let's get started.

This lip tints are natural/organic and water-based. I got mine in the shade Luscious Plum and Hazel Brown. As I've seen on their Instagram page, it has no bitter taste and does not produce foul smell after several use. It is also not too pigmented and not too light and is easy to blend. It retails for 140 pesos per tube of 10ml.

Swatches

Packaging

For the packaging, it comes on a roll-on tube plastic glass. Since the bottle is made up of plastic glass, it is heavier than the usual lip tints. The ingredients, distributor and product claims are written on the bottle. However, the address and other details of the distributor is not included.

Review

True to its claims, these lip tints don't have biter taste at all. Both shades smells really good and has a strong scent. Hazel Brown smells sweet while Luscious Plum is on the fruity (but still sweet) smell. After a wear test, I noticed that Luscious Plum last longer than Hazel Brown. When it comes to lip products, vibrant shades last longer than the nude ones. Luscious Plum is really vibrant but my camera doesn't give justice. Haha! When applying this product, I had to go with three layers to get the pigmentation that I like. It looks really natural on the lip though! P.S. I don't use lip and cheek tints as blush. Would I recommend this product? Of course! I support local products and I really like their shades selection. :)

Disclaimer: These products were sent to me for review. However, all of my thoughts and opinion on these products are all my own and are based on my personal experience and preference.

[By Wishtrend] Green Tea & Enzyme Powder Wash

November 10, 2017

We all know that green tea is good for the health. Aside from that, it is also good for the skin because it is a powerful antioxidant rich in vitamins such as vitamin A, C, and E. It calms and improves skin tone. This is my first time to use a skincare product with green tea as the main ingredient.

Wishtrend is launching their very own Green Tea & Enzyme Powder Wash this November 10, 2017 (CST). I got to try it before the launch so I will be sharing my thoughts and review. Please note that I have combination and acne-prone skin. I have been using it for more than two weeks now. And so far, so good!

This Green Tea & Enzyme Powder Wash is a low-acid moisturizing cleanser and refreshing scrub that gently exfoliates the face and does the blackhead care. It is made for all skin types especially for oily and acne-prone skin and for people who prefer a gentle cleanser with a moisturizing finish.

For the packaging, it comes in a green hard plastic bottle and it contains 70g or 2.47oz of product. The texts are written in white which kinda makes it a bit hard to read especially on the back part. The packaging is very aesthetic though! This product is made in Korea.

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Zea Mays (Corn) Starch, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Powder(2%), Lysine HCL, Proline, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Acetyl Methionine, Theanine, Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Extract, Sorbitol, Papain, Betaine, Cellulose Gum, Citric Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate

This product contains raw ingredients such as Green Tea, Papain, Sodium Bicarbonate, Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate. Papain eliminates proteolytic enzymes, old keratin, and skin wastes to improve the skin texture while Sodium Bicarbonate (baking soda) works as a soft and gentle scrub agent, excellent for blackhead and skin care.

How to use: Just put an adequate amount on your hand and add a few drops of water. For sensitive skin, you may use it 2 to 3 times a week.

Precaution: Do not use along with another skin care products that have exfoliating effects (retinol, high concentration vitamin C, AHA/BHA, etc.)

My thoughts: I love how this product is so mild and gentle on my face. When I used this product, my skin condition is really not at its best. I was heaving intense breakouts and I was afraid at first to use it because it might worsen the situation. But surprisingly, it did not. On my first use, I was amazed at how this product works. No joke! It is also my first product to use a powder wash. It made my skin really soft. If I would rate the softness of my skin after using, it would be 10/10. I also noticed that my skin tight and very clean. This product really reminds me of the matcha flavored foods. It has a strong (kinda) scent but it is fine with me.

Would I recommend it? Definitely, YES especially for my girls with sensitive skin like me. This is perfect for us! You can avail this product for only $17.6 from November 10 to 16, 2017 at Wishtrend. The original price is $22.

Vitamins to Help Ovulation

October 28, 2017

You and your partner are ready to have a baby! Fantastic. There are many steps to take in order to prepare yourself for the huge journey of conceiving and then adding the new bundle of joy to your family

The first thing you are going to want to do is to make sure your diet is healthy and nutrient rich. You may want to talk to your doctor about getting a referral to a dietician or nutritionist. Therefore, you will then be able to know what foods to eat and to avoid while trying to conceive.

However, there is some good news and you don’t even have to wait to see a dietician or nutritionist. In order to regulate ovulation, there are fertility vitamins and herbal supplements to be aware of to help make that happen. Not to mention, there are also habits to kick while you are preparing yourself to get pregnant.

Below is a list of vitamins and minerals to consume while trying to conceive so it can help with ovulating:

Calcium

Not only does calcium help with bone strength and development, but it is necessary to take for your reproductive system to work properly. You can get plenty of calcium by drinking plenty of milk, and eat plenty of cheese. However, if you don’t like milk or cheese, you can also eat plenty of green leafy vegetables. If that doesn’t appeal to you, then you can always take a 1000mg calcium supplement daily. Health food stores and pharmacies carry those supplements. Try Emergen-C as a fizzy drink or even a chewable tablet.

Folic Acid

Folic acid not only strengthens your reproductive system but for any woman who is trying to conceive must take this because it helps prevent neural tube defects in the fetus! Not only do you want to help your body with ovulation, but you want to create a healthy environment for the new baby to thrive. You must consume at least 400mg of folic acid per day, and leafy green vegetables, citrus fruits, and whole grains contain folic acid. You can also take a supplement. Most prenatal vitamins contain this amount of folic acid in their concoction.

Zinc

Zinc is a powerful mineral to help with ovulation and tell your partner to get some zinc into him because it will help the quality of those swimmers. The recommended intake of zinc per day is 8 mg. Shellfish, dairy products, whole grains, and beans are rich in zinc. Remember if none of those appeals to you, there are plenty of good quality zinc supplements around.

Omega 3 Fatty Acid

This essential fatty acid is crucial to help with ovulation, as well as embryo quality. Salmon and other fish is an excellent source of Omega 3, however, it is highly recommended to take fish oil or nut oil supplements. If you are allergic to either, you will have to consult a dietician to find out how else to get Omega 3 into you. Some plant oils contain this important fatty acid as well.

Iron

Iron is used to help make hemoglobin, the component of red blood cells which carries the oxygen. You not only plenty of that to function, but if the hemoglobin levels are low, ovulation will not happen. Or at best, the quality will be low and conception won’t be likely as a result. Women need at least 18mg of Iron a day, and once confirmed pregnant, that intake must be bumped up to 27 mg a day. Foods such as red meat, dark leafy vegetables, and tofu are rich in iron. There are also good quality iron supplements to take.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C not only strengthens your immune system, but it helps with ovulation as well. Vitamin C is found in all citrus fruits and some vegetables. You can also take supplements if you wish.

Vitamin B6

Not only does Vitamin B6 help with ovulation and help increase the odds of conception, but you will want to have plenty of this vitamin in your system by the time you are pregnant. Studies have shown that if there is enough of Vitamin B6 in your system, it will help reduce the severity of pregnancy sickness. It is recommended to consume at least 10 mg of Vitamin B6. Seafood, eggs, poultry, nuts, seeds, and legumes are rich in Vitamin B6.

Take a Multivitamin

Even if you are consuming foods that are rich in all of the vitamins and minerals mentioned above, it is important to also take a multivitamin that contains everything that will not only help you with ovulation but help increase the odds of a healthy pregnancy after conception is achieved.

There is a chance that even if you are consuming foods and even taking supplements rich in these vitamins and minerals that some could be lacking. Therefore, a multivitamin can cover any deficits. It is always better to be safe than sorry.

Minimize the Sugar and Caffeine

If you have been eating candies, potato chips and other foods that are high in refined carbohydrates, it is highly recommended to limit those. If you have been drinking more than one cup of coffee a day, it is best to limit that cup to no more than one a day. Too much caffeine can hinder ovulation, and one cup of coffee will not likely do any harm. However, cut it off at that point.

Cut Out Booze Completely

If you are trying to get pregnant, it is best to completely cut out alcohol. You want to do everything in your power to increase the chances of conceiving, and having a healthy pregnancy.

There are also herbs that you can take that can help with female fertility, and listed below are some to consider if you wish:

Chaste Tree Berry - this particular tonic is known to stimulate the production of progesterone and other vital hormones.

The Root of Wild Yam- this herb helps promote ovulation.

Korean Ginseng- This one helps with hormonal production, as well ovulation.

If you are interested in purchasing these herbal supplements that are known to help with female fertility, health food stores carry them.

Now that you know what foods to eat, and what supplements to take, and what habits to kick in order to help promote your fertility and conceive- you can start getting busy! Best of luck!

How To Choose The Best Hair Extensions?

October 25, 2017

Hair extensions are innovative and fashionable items that readily add length and volume to your natural hair, turning the shortest hair locks into luxurious, lush tresses. However, choosing the right one can be a bit of struggle since there are so many options to choose from, and so many factors to take into account. Plus, there is also a huge price difference between the different types of hair extensions, which is why you need to have an idea of quality, purpose, and cost. In order to get a better understanding of how to pick the right hair extensions for your particular hair type, refer to the guide below.

1. Natural Human Hair Vs Synthetic

Human hair extensions are the first choice of expert stylists, since the extensions have to be more natural looking and can be both styled and colored to meet the client’s preference. A more costly option than synthetic extensions, human hair extensions provide greater flexibility and require more care. This hair can be styled with a blow-dryer, hot roller, ceramic straightener or curling iron, and styling products can also be used. Gentle washing and conditioning are required, and with proper treatment, these extensions can last for over a year.

On the other hand, synthetic hair extension tend to be the first choice for a lot of women, because they are long-lasting, affordable and require low maintenance. They are made from plastic fibers in either curly or straight style and need little maintenance to retain the look, which will not be impacted by rain or humidity. The style is baked into the synthetic fiber, which usually offers a less natural-looking texture, feel and look as compared to human hair. Plus, synthetic hair can become matted if slept in or washed, and it can’t be dyed, so color matching is extremely important when buying extensions. A majority of synthetic hair products can’t be heat-styled with blow dryers or curling irons without destroying or melting the hair, but new technologies are being introduced that can bear heat to a certain degree.

Synthetic clip-ins are easy to apply and fall at the low end of the pricing scale, whereas a full mane of human hair professionally affixed in the hair salon is a pretty expensive and lengthy process. In order to decide the right option for you, you need to take into account the length, style, application method and budget constraints.

2. Shopping For Hair Extensions Online Vs In-Store

There are so many brands and styles of hair extensions to choose from that it can get a little overwhelming, especially if you are shopping for the first time. Both online and offline stores offer hair extensions, but you may feel a little hesitant picking stuff online. If you are buying hair extensions for the first time, have no one to help you out, and are planning to use them for a big event, then it is best if you stick with an in-store purchase. This is because buying a hair extension is not as simple as it sounds. You will need to get a good color match, find the perfect length, and play around with a few hairstyles and hair types before you are finally able to decide the perfect fit for you. Online hair extension shopping will not allow you the freedom to try on various hair extensions before you finally find the right one, but with a walk-in store, you will be able to properly see what suits you best and seek the help of the staff if you feel confused or indecisive.

Hair extensions are available in a surprisingly wide variety of retailers once you start to look for them. They are sometimes easily passed by otherwise. Even dollar stores and other discount stores carry them, and some women do use them successfully for everyday use. Beauty supply stores, fine department stores, wig salons, online sites, and hairdressers are some other options for buying hair extensions.

3. Choose The Right Color

Getting the right color hair extensions is a key part of the entire process of achieving a beautifully natural look. Various salons and companies use various color measurements on their extensions, which can get confusing.

The tip top, which is the part of the extension that will be visible on your own hair when attached, is the most important match. Identify the color of your hair from the tip to the middle of the strand. Blending your hair on the bottom part is crucial for a natural, real-hair look. The newly grown hair at the root will not make for a good match and the hair will not gel well with your own natural hair. If you are purchasing your extensions at an outlet or salon locally, you can color-test by holding the extensions up to your hair in natural light to assess how close the match actually is.

Go with the shade that is the most evident in your original hair. If your hair is a mixture of different shades, it is best to first consult a stylist about the perfect extension color for your hair or seek the assistance of the staff prior to buying the hair extensions.

4. How Much Hair Do You Need In The Set

Hair is measured in grams, and it is important for you to know how many grams are present in your hair extension set. The right hair extensions are ones that have the proper length and quantity of the strands. Using 20 inch or longer hair extensions is not recommended if you are buying for the first time and have zero experience with handling hair extensions. Besides, the longer the strands, the more expensive it will be and it will require more time to blend with your natural hair.

Typically, you will need 125 – 150 strands if your natural hair is of normal thickness. If you have super thick hair, then consider going for 150 – 180. Short hair usually requires less than 150 strands. If you are aiming for volume rather than length, then 75 strands will be enough.

5. Clip In vs. Tape In Hair Extensions

Clip-in hair extensions comprise of several hair strands, each attached individually. Typically, 3” to 4” wide pieces are applied on the back of your head in multiple layers, and a few 1” to 2” wide pieces are fixed on the sides. As is suggested by the name, every strand is attached to your natural hair with a clip. With a little practice, clipping in the extensions becomes quite easy and takes only a couple of minutes. Taking clip-in extensions off is even easier.

Tape-in hair extensions comprise of one-inch broad pre-taped hair wefts and thin taped wefts that basically tape in between your natural hair in sandwich-type bonds. At present day, they are the most requested type of hair extension method simply because they stay secure and discreet, appearing like your own natural hair. This method is 100% natural requires no chemicals or tools and can last up to three months since the hair is reusable. However, a lot of people prefer clip-in hair extensions over tape-in since they find the former to be more convenient, easy to use, and versatile.

Saute Fusilli in Mackerel

October 22, 2017

In today's blog post, I will be sharing a very different one from all my previous blog posts. I will be sharing a simple and afforable recipe for you, fam! You all probably know that I like to review food and restaurant but this is my first time to share a recipe on my blog. Hope you like it!

My Ninang always cooks my favorite foods especially pasta. I love pasta so much and I got this recipe from her. It is simple but really appetizing! We always use tuna or chicken for this recipe but this time, we will be using Uni-Pak Mackerel in natural oil. We were kinda surprised with the outcome. It tastes really good. It is also nice to experiment and explore with something new dahil hindi basta nakasanayan the best na yan.

Uni-Pak is locally manufactured here in the Philippines. I really like the quality of this brand. It is well packaged. The fish is in good condition and it has Omega 3 which is good for the heart. Kaya basta Mackerel dapat tatak Unipak

First, prepare the ingredients.

Uni-Pak Mackerel in Natural Oil (15 oz.)
Fusilli pasta
Onion
Garlic
Red Bell Pepper
All Purpose Cream (1/4)
Parsley
Mushroom
A little bit of salt and pepper

Chop the bell pepper, onions, and garlic first. Our parsley is fresh from the backyard!

Then, preheat the pan. Add oil and saute garlic and onions.

Then, add the red bell pepper, parsley, mushrooms and Uni-Pak Mackerel. Drain the mackerel and mushrooms first so it won't be watery when you put it on the pan.

Add salt, pepper, and a little bit of all-purpose cream. Mix them all together and you're all done! Very simple, right? I just added parsley on the side to garnish. You may also add fresh tomatoes if you like.

As written from NHSS Choices, oily fish such as salmon, mackerel, and sardines are said to help against cardiovascular disease, prostate cancer, age-related vision loss and dementia. It's a good source of vitamin D, protein, some B vitamins and selenium. It's also a rich source of omega-3 fatty acids, a type of fat that is good for our health. (Source)
Fish are a great alternative for meat if you are on a diet. This is a healthy recipe indeed. It has vegetables, mackerel, and less oil.

Does this photo look appetizing? Of course, it is! Aside from this recipe, I also have something for you, fam! We will be having a giveaway! One winner will get a gift pack from Uni-Pak! Check my Facebook post for the mechanics (Click here!).

Bellissima Egg White Soap Review

October 19, 2017

Eggs have contents and benefits that are very useful for beauty related issues. Egg whites are known to tighten and nourishing the skin. It also helps minimize pores because of its protein content.

I've been using this Bellissima Egg White Soap for more than two weeks now. This is the first time that I use a product with egg white as an ingredient. But first, I am proud to say that this egg white soap is made in the Philippines. You all know that I really like featuring local products here on my blog. We gotta love and support local!

This product claims to use traditional Swedish formulation which helps to lighten and smoothen skin. It also tightens and softens the face. It says on the packaging that you have to leave it on for about a minute before you rinse it and that's what I actually did. I use this daily on my body and face.

The packaging is simple but really cute! I like the combination of colors that they used on the box. It also has the complete details like the manufacturer, date manufactured, expiration date and ingredients on the box. The soap itself is shaped like an egg, of course, and it smells really good.

This soap makes my skin clean, tight and smooth after using it. My skin also smells really good whenever I use this one and I have no doubts about the benefits of the egg white so I know it is really good for the skin. The soap also doesn't melt easily. However, I noticed that the smell doesn't last all throughout the day. I also noticed that this soap can be a little bit drying so I advise that you use lotion on your body and moisturizer on your face after using it. The soap is creamy when applied on the skin though!

You can buy this Bellissima Egg White Soap at any Puregold branches for only 55 pesos. they have a promo for 85 pesos for a set of two.

Happy #NationalPamperingDay!

October 18, 2017

Nailaholics Nail Salon and Spa celebrated their second year of National Pampering Day yesterday, October 17, 2017, and I was able to experience it. They treated everyone with a free manicure, foot massage or foot spa from 10am to 1pm.

I went to their branch at SM City Dasmarinas at around 10:30 in the morning to claim my ticket. I just told them that I will just eat and I will be back by 11:30 am. I chose to have a manicure and I also chose to support Save Philippine Seas.

We got a very relaxing and pampering treatment from their super friendly staff. It was a happy day for everyone!

Thank you so much Nailaholics Nail Salon and Spa for letting me experience National Pampering Day this year! And of course, I would also like to thank their SM Dasmarinas branch for giving me a nice experience and for pampering my nails! Their staff is very friendly and accommodating!

October 13, 2017 Tagaytay - Nasugbu Hwy, Philippines

KOOKAY'S
Tagaytay - Nasugbu Hwy, Mendez East
Tagaytay City, Cavite

A friend of mine suggested this place for me to try. She sent me a few photos and I got really curious. It was just a few minutes away from my home. I know there are already a lot of themed cafe in Manila, but it is not like that here in the province especially here in Tagaytay. I got to try it today with my fam and here is my super honest (first impression) review about this themed cafe.

When we got in, I was really happy because almost everything is pink! Haha! We had to remove our shoes/sandals before going in. They will provide foot sacks for you because of the carpet. Not a bad thing. However, for the kids, it is a hard part since some of them doesn't really like wearing it.

But as I have said, this is going to be a super honest review. I went there to try it and post it on my blog so whatever the outcome is, I just had to write it. I have no intention of destroying anything here. I just want to tell our first experience.

We had a hard time (well, kinda) with the menu. The photos on the menu are very limited. We asked the staff about the foods that they serve but she keeps on asking her coworker instead. She also said that the asado siopao was already for sharing (jumbo) but it is not and it is 99 pesos. I know that they just started last September but I think it is not a good thing. In spite of that, I understand that they are just new and there is always a room for improvement.

Waffles
Mango Graham Milkshake

We ordered fries (99 pesos), croquettes (99 pesos), waffles (149 pesos), asado siopao (99 pesos) and a mango graham milkshake (179 pesos). We paid 650+ for everything including the onesie.

To be honest, everything is so "instagramable"! Even so, the food was just "okay". The prices are not bad but the foods (that we ordered) are not worth it. There is nothing special about it. The only food that I liked is their croquettes. The siopao was implausible for 99 pesos! It was not included in the photos because they had to reheat it. They served it cold.

For the onesie, you can wear one for only 50 pesos. They have a variety of sizes for kids and adult. I chose this Stitch because why not? Haha! The place is filled with stuffed toys. I really like the place, tbh, even though it is not that spacious. If you want to try this place, it is near Balinsasayaw and Nanay Dorie's Bulalohan. It is just along the highway and is easy to find.
